Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Asienta collects when you use the website asienta.app and the app at app.asienta.app, why, and what control you have over it. Asienta is an independent project and is free during early access.
In short
- We collect what is needed to run your account and your ledger — nothing for advertising, and we don’t sell data.
- Your financial records are visible only to the people in your household. Platform administrators have no technical access to them.
- We never ask for bank logins and don’t connect to banks.
- The website uses no analytics and no tracking cookies.
What we collect and why
Account data. Your name, email address, password, interface language and overview layout. The password is stored only as an Argon2id hash; we can’t read it. We need this data to provide your account.
Your financial records. Everything you enter or import: households, accounts and the logos you upload for them, currencies and rates you set, categories, entries and their comments, and invitations you create (including the invitee’s email address). We store and process these records only to show them back to you and the members of your household. We don’t analyse them for other purposes.
Change history. Each household keeps a log of who changed what and when, with the previous values. It lets you trace a figure and restore a voided entry, and it stays with the household.
Sessions and security. For each sign-in session we store the IP address and browser description (user agent), which you see as your list of devices. We also count sign-in and registration attempts to stop password guessing. This is necessary to keep accounts secure.
Server logs. Technical logs record requests and errors so we can keep the service running. They don’t contain amounts or the contents of your entries.
The website. asienta.app has no analytics, advertising or tracking. If you pick a language in the switcher, a cookie remembers your choice. The hosting provider may process your IP address to deliver the pages.

We use only cookies needed for the service to work:

There are no analytics, advertising or third-party cookies, so we don’t ask for cookie consent.
Who else processes data
- Hosting. The servers are rented from a hosting provider, which stores and processes data on our behalf.
- Exchange rates. We download reference rates from a public source (Frankfurter). No personal data is sent.
We send no emails. We don’t sell, rent or share your data for marketing.
How long we keep it
- Entries you void and items you archive stay in your household so you can restore them, until the household is deleted.
- Clearing a household’s data (Settings → Clear data) removes it from the app immediately.
- Deleting a household. Ask us and we delete it: members lose access at once, and all its data — records, logos, change history — is permanently erased 30 days later. Until then it can be restored if the deletion was a mistake.
- Deleting your account. Ask us and we close your account at once — you can no longer sign in — and delete the households where you are the only owner, as described above.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your personal data and correct it — most of it you can edit yourself in the app;
- delete it or restrict how we use it;
- give it to you in a machine-readable format — every report already downloads as CSV, and a full export is planned;
- stop processing it for security purposes where you object.

Children
Asienta is not intended for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we tell you in the app before it takes effect.
