# What is Asienta

Asienta is a web app for keeping track of personal and household money. You record what you spend, earn, move and exchange; Asienta turns those records into balances, net worth, charts and reports.

## What makes it different

- **Every entry keeps its own currency.** One account can hold euros, dollars and dinars at once. Each entry is stored in its currency with the exchange rate of its date — or the rate you actually got.
- **One base currency for totals.** Net worth, charts and reports are shown in your base currency, and you can switch it at any time without rewriting what you recorded.
- **Reports you can open.** Every figure in a report or on the overview links to the entries it is made of.
- **Shared by design.** A household is a shared ledger: invite members who record entries or viewers who only look.
- **No bank connections.** You record entries by hand or import your history from a file. Asienta never asks for bank passwords.

## What it doesn’t do (yet)

Budgets, recurring entries, forecasts, investments and a native iOS app are planned but not available. The [changelog](/en/changelog/) lists what has shipped.

## Where it runs

Asienta works in the browser on desktop and phone at [app.asienta.app](https://app.asienta.app). The interface is available in English and Russian, in light and dark themes. It is free during early access.
