# Members and roles

> Share a household with your family — invite members and viewers, and switch between households.

A household is a shared ledger. Everyone in it sees the same accounts, entries and reports.

## Roles

| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| **Owner** | everything a member can, plus invite and remove people, change roles and clear the household’s data |
| **Member** | record and edit entries, keep accounts, categories and currencies |
| **Viewer** | see every figure and report, but not record or change anything |

A household always keeps at least one owner: appoint another owner before stepping down.

## Invite someone

1. Open **Settings** and find your household.
2. Click **Invite a member**, enter their email and choose a role.
3. Click **Create invitation**. A link appears — it is shown only once. Asienta doesn’t send emails yet, so send the link yourself.

The person opens the link, creates an account or signs in, and joins your household. Pending invitations can be revoked.

## Several households

You can belong to more than one household — say, your own and your parents’. Switch between them from the household menu at the top; **New household** starts another one.
